Completely new photocatalyst system
The main causes of dirt on buildings are silicon oil, exhaust gas, fumes that those oil adhere to the outdoor wall, and then dust and carbon gradually pile up on the oil, that can be hardly removed.
When Solapur, titanium oxide coating on the outdoor wall or window, is exposed to the light, it decomposes the main problem of dirt, oil due to oxidative decomposition, and then raindrops or pouring water flow it down and keep it clean.

It is the same reaction mechanism as the photosynthesis,
in other words “the passive principle of nature”.

Solapur generates water film, inorganic substance like dust will be flown away.
Germ, fungus and virus that ruin our health, are always hiding in the room where our family, visitors, and various people gathering.
Solapur controls harmful substances using indoor lights, continuously decompose it into harmless water and carbon dioxide. It improves hygienic indoor environment. Furthermore, the photocatalytic effect is also responsive to influenza virus.
There is no need for treatment such as chemical spraying or heating, so is expected to be a very effective measure against influenza.
Old products of photocatalyst is mainly used in outdoor environment. However, Solapur can show its effect even indoors using LED or fluorescent lamp.

Passive solar system “SOYOKAZE” + “Solapur”

What is “photocatalyst” – titanium oxide
- 酸化チタンとは？
- 酸化チタンは白い粉で、着色塗料の顔料としてたくさん使われており、化粧品や紙にも使われています
チタン原子は地表に比較的多く含まれており、資源問題や環境問題の少ない材料です。
光触媒用酸化チタンは粉を細かくしたり、結晶形をコントロールするなどして触媒効果を高くしたものです。
触媒効果を発揮するには十分な光が必要で、これは植物の光合成と同じ原理です。
- 安全性は？
- 原料の酸化チタンは食品添加物として認可されている安定した物質で、食品や化粧品などに広く使用されています。
酸化チタン膜を作るためのそらピュールコーティング剤は、毒性や刺激性、突然変異などについて、日本食品分析センターで検査しその安全性が確認されておりますので安心してお使いいただけます。
- どんな効果が得られる？
- 光触媒（酸化チタン）は光が当たることで、表面に付着した汚れを酸化分解する機能と、高い親水性を発揮します。
この２つの機能を利用して、防汚・防曇・抗菌・抗ウイルス・脱臭・大気浄化などの効果を得ることができます。
光触媒の効果は、光の量（紫外線）や光の当たる面積に比例します。
- どのくらい効果が続くの？
- 使用状況や環境によっても異なります。
外壁や窓ガラスであれば、15～20年を目安に再塗装を行うことで、外観の美しさを長く保つことができます。
- 室内でも効果があるの？
- 従来の光触媒は室内光での反応はできませんでしたが、そらピュールは室内光でも反応する「可視光応答型光触媒」によって光触媒機能を充分に発揮します。
- 木にも施工できますか？
- 木には木目の美しさや香りがあり、年月とともに素材の味がでてきます。そのため、木にはコーティングせず、その良さを感じていただきたいと考えています。
屋外の木には親水性よりも撥水性の方が相性が良いため、サーファポアＷ（ナノフォス社）のコーティングをお勧めしています。
- シックハウス対策に効くと聞いたのですが？
- そらピュールは、光触媒反応によって有害有機物（VOC）を無害な物質（水・二酸化炭素）に分解します。
- どんな臭いでも消えますか？
- 悪臭の原因が有機化合物によるものであれば分解し、消臭させることができます。
- どんな汚れにも効果がありますか？
- 基本的には防汚機能と親水性によって、汚れを防ぎます。 ⇒ セルフクリーニング機能
しかし、一部の汚れには十分な効果を発揮できません。（さび汚れ、エフロレッセンス、土砂汚れ、鳥の糞、樹液など）
- 雨が当たりにくい場所でも汚れを防ぐことができますか？
- コーティング面に静電気が帯びるのを抑制する効果があるため、汚れを寄せ付けにくくなります。
わずかに付着した汚れは散水で洗い流すことができます。
- 光が当たってから効果が出るまでの時間は？
- 酸化分解する機能は、光の強さ、空間の広さ、分解する対象物の種類によって効果が出るまでの時間は変わります。
親水性は即効性があり、光が当たっている間は効果を発揮します。

- そらピュールコーティング施工とは、どのようなものですか？
- 光触媒「そらピュール」を、屋外や屋内にエアーカップガン等の専用器具を用いてコーティングすることです。
対象物の面積が広い場合や、効果を長持ちさせたい場合などに、効果的にコーティングすることができます。
基本的には、管理技術者の元で施工を行います。

- 施工した後、見た目に変化はあるの？
- 薄膜のコーティング材なので、見た目の変化はありません。
しかし、基材の色が特に濃い場合は、まだら模様やムラが出る場合があります。

- 新築と既存の建物では下地の状況が違うので、お見積りさせていただきます。

- メンテナンス費用はどのくらいかかるの？
- 外装のメンテナンス費用で比較した場合、一回の塗装にかかるコストはソラピュールの方が一般的な外装塗料より割高です。
しかし、そらピュールはセルフクリーニング機能を持つため、再塗装や清掃のコストを抑えることができます。
仮に、50年後までにかかるメンテナンスのトータルコストを比較すると、そらピュールの方がはるかにおトクです。

- 他社コーティング材との違いは？
- 原液に有機溶剤（バインダー）を含まず水と酸化チタンのみなので、コーティング材そのものの安全性が高く、酸化チタンを均等にコーティングすることができます。その結果、酸化チタンに光が当たる面積が大きくなり、反応効率が良いコーティング膜を作ることができます。
さらに、無機膜なので有機溶剤（バインダー）が酸化チタンによって分解されて剥がれ落ちる心配がなく、高い持続性を発揮します。

- どのような場所・ものに使えますか？
- 主に建物の外壁や窓ガラス、屋内の壁や天井にお使いいただけます。
対象は、塗装面、ＲＣ・石材、ガラス、鏡、金属パネル、タイル、漆喰、珪藻土、クロス、布製品など様々なものにお使いいただけます。
ただし、食器類、金物、和装、布皮製品、紙などの水に弱いもの、美術品、貴金属へのご使用はお控えください。
- どのような場所に施工されていますか？
- 戸建住宅、公共施設、商業施設、教育施設、医療施設など、さまざまな場所に施工されています。

- いつコーティングするのが効果的ですか？
- コーティングの下地に汚れがない状態でのコーティングが効果的です。
新築時や、ハウスクリーニング清掃後にコーティングすることで、きれいな状態を保つことができます。
- 清掃の必要はないの？
- 外壁で長い間雨が降らなかったり、雨がかりの少ないところでは散水が必要です。
また、一度に多くの汚れ・埃が付着した場合や、喫煙所のような負荷の大きい場所では、汚れ（タバコのヤニ等）が蓄積されると十分な効果を発揮できなくなります。このような場合は、洗い流したり拭取ったりする必要があります。
多量の油煙がでてくるような排気口まわりでも、負荷が大きすぎるため定期的な清掃が必要です。
- 北面や日陰などの太陽光が当たらないところでも効果はありますか？
- 曇りの日でも日焼けするのと一緒で効果はあります。建物間に1m程度の隙間があれば十分な紫外線量を得ることができます。
- インフルエンザ予防に効果はありますか？
- ソラピュールは菌やウイルスを分解・除去するため、インフルエンザウイルスにも効果を発揮します。
今後の展望としては、簡易的な組立て方式のCLEAN ROOM（仮）にそらピュールを用いることで、冬場（流行時期）に不特定多数の人の出入りがある施設（ 例 ： 公共施設のエントランスや空港など）での水際対策への効果が期待されます。
